Marketing Intern

Job Type: Paid Internship

The Marketing Intern works directly with the company Director and other team members in the LoHi neighborhood in Denver to build the foundation of the current and future marketing strategies of Mesaba Finance and our managed funds.

Branding, community and storytelling platforms and aligning the overall mission and providing creative and relevant ideas for current online marketing campaigns and will assist the company in the execution of our Marketing Plan.

As a Marketing Intern you will gain experience in online marketing, brand management, social media management, story-telling and project management. Interns will need to be creative, self-starters with the willingness to learn and develop skills in presentations, networking, research and more.

Job Duties

  • Online Branding and Marketing
  • Develop campaign calendars and project schedules
  • Manage the publishing of current and future email/social media/ad creative content
  • Support Team in the creation of content when necessary
  • Work with independent graphic designers on the creation of visual content when necessary
  • Create exciting and shareable campaigns appropriate for the different social media platform
  • Leverage behavioral data, market research, and business analysis to implement effective online marketing strategies to reach goals and increase engagement
  • Redirect and change ongoing campaigns based on performance metrics
  • Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach our target market
  • Work with the founder to optimize the traffic coming to the site from various marketing channels (email, social, organic/direct, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Communications or Business, Digital Media preferred
  • Strong writing and communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team
  • Passion for social media marketing, creativity and nonprofit management
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns with different messages and timelines
  • Coach-able and willing to learn
  • Comfortable with ambiguity

Schedule

20 hours per week on site. Additional hours possible through travel or offsite work. (not required)
